I was looking for a reasonably priced, extremely easy to use phone for my 93 year old mother who has very limited vision, short term memory problems, problems with electronic devices and has limited hearing despite wearing hearing aids. I read all the reviews about this phone and others like it and decided this is the best choice for us. We (my mother and I) are very satisfied. She hears both the bell and the conversations, both on a loud volume. She can make calls with very large, high-visibility buttons, and I programmed the top three buttons for her frequently called numbers (as she lives in a nursing home, she doesn't need a 911 button, so I reprogrammed it to a regular number). ). It doesn't work as fast with the other programmed big keys as it keeps forgetting to press the button in the lower left corner before the big number key (2 steps instead of 1), but I think it will eventually. I was very concerned that she would hit the stupidly placed mute button (why would they put it on the handset?) and didn't even notice, so after reading other reviews I took someone's tip, crazy glue around the button around and now it won't push - problem solved! It has helped my mother a lot not to feel isolated, now she can connect with family and friends. Good buy, highly recommended, especially for the price!
