Review on 🚪 M-D Building Products 43337 U-Shape Under Door Seal, 36 in L X 2-1/4 in W X 1-1/2 in H, 1-3/4 in Thick, Vinyl by Jake Hill

I got this because the mice got in under my garage door and under my front door. I bought 3: one for my pantry, one for the linen closet and one for the outside door that leads to the garage. The linen closet was the same width as the sweeper so you could easily slide across it in seconds. Problem: However, when I close the door, this sweep moves and doesn't stay in place. It's trying to roll under the door and pull away which breaks and damages the wood on the door so I'll insert two screws to hold it in place. 2. The pantry door is shorter than this spread, so I had to cut it a few inches. Thanks to the guy who suggested the hacksaw! My utility knife wouldn't cut this hard vinyl at all! The hacksaw barely cut it and ended up bent and took a lot of effort to cut it. I wish the company would recommend the right tool for cutting. Maybe a circular saw would be great, but I'm out of battery. Once I cut it, it slid easily onto the pantry door and closed easily. No screws required to stay.3. outer door. Installing the brush on this door gave me the most trouble. First, the door is thicker and it was very difficult to put the reamer on. I had to painstakingly cut it again, praying my hacksaw would hold. Don't try to cut it while it's on the door because that's impossible. Measure and cut first. Then I had to find a way to put it on because it was very tight and while I was pushing and pulling with all my might I couldn't get it on. Luckily I've read that using petroleum jelly in a mop can be just as helpful as using a hammer. So I oiled the reamer and got a hammer. It worked. But as soon as I received it, the door wouldn't close! Since it was very difficult to put on, I could not take it off. So I had to force the door shut and ended up jamming the lock. Now the door won't open. So for this door I would like a seal that only sticks on the outside and does not have to be under the door. However, it is a very good right door product.
