This is a great door stop, excellent design and function. Unfortunely I had to return them and order a new style of door stop. If you order this door stop keep in mind you'll have to cut into your trim if you have multiple layers or 'steps' around your door trim. It screws into the inside of your door frame. I didn't buy these for the function of adding more security from intruders, which I'm sure it still helps with, but moreso as a door stop to keep my two year old who has figured out door…

The lock appears to do what I expected. I cannot test its resistance to a home burglar entry unless I try to kick my own door in, but it's bound to help. Installation was quick and easy. My only complaint was that the locking mechanism was stiff and hard to move. I added some silicone spray and it improved. After lightly sanding one surface it got much better. I am very pleased with the product at this point.

This is my second one. I recently moved from a condo and left it behind for the next tenant. I purchased again for my house. No unwanted person can enter once this lock is engaged. In fact, I believe the fire department would have a tough time even using their ramming device. The only thing I did differently, was to use longer screws. My handyman said it wasn't necessary, but since I had them, he used. This lock gives me peace of mind while home.

These were very easy to install and are perfect for feeling extra secure at night. We have an older home with an original 80 year old door. We love it, but it’s got single pane glass and doesn’t feel the most secure. We installed this lock at the base of the door so even if someone were to get in the window and throw the deadbolt, they would never Ben able to reach this additional lock.

I installed product on 3 doors to exterior of home. I learned most of the lessons on the first door. Didn't mortise but should have, will redo later. Used my own screws as I stripped out the heads of several of the screws provided. Used slightly bigger bit and better, longer screws. Mortised second and third doors, no problems installing. I like the idea behind the product and feel safer knowing that I have an extra measure of security.

Easy to install and,easy for this grandma,to use. Yet our two year old master locksmith of a grandson has,not yet been able to figure this out. Great piece of mind when babysitting

I needed something that would prevent someone from opening my back door in the event they broke the glass and unlocked the deadbolt. This simple device did the trick. I like that it is white and doesn't call attention to itself. It is easy to operate from the inside and actually prevents the door being opened from the outside.

Great product! One compliant is that the screws it comes with are JUNK! The heads strip out and they are too short. Other than that, this is a 5 STAR product.Anyone who buys this, use 2.5" screws or longer. That would make their door impenetrable.

The lock itself seems to be of good quality. It is a clever design and gave us peace of mind to install on our seldom-used rear entry. But, my gosh I have never seen cheaper screws - it's like they were made of wax instead of metal. They stripped so easily and then, when one was stripped beyond redemption, I was able to pop off the head using only pliers. Buy the lock, then get your own screws suited to your installation.

My dad has Alzheimer's. I use one of these on both the front door and the door to the garage. I've had them over a year and he hasn't figured them out. He hauls on the doorknobs pretty hard and the lock has held up great. I wish there were something similar for the patio door.

Easy to install, haven't had my door kicked in yet. Go to local hardware Store and buy 3 inch screws for more security. Can become loose and have to be tightened frequently.

Blends in well with our door jam. Easy to use. The unlock motion is fluid (unlike a different one we purchase that requires 2 hands to unlock). Happy with this product

This lock was super-easy to install and easy to open/close and is made of good quality materials. Only effective as a secondary security measure. It is quite secure.
