Review on πŸ”§ Premium Black Universal Projector Ceiling Mount by Kanto P101: Solid Steel Construction for Easy Installation by Brandon Vox

Revainrating 3 out of 5

However, very flexible bracket.

I found this projector ceiling mount to be pretty easy to install. The issues I had were related to trying to mount the legs on an Optoma UHD60 projector. They offer 2 medium (already mounted on the mount), 2 short and 2 long leg inserts, well 2 long ones are too long and 2 short ones are too short. I wish they had included another pair of center legs as that would make it easier to center the mount on the UHD60 projector. I had to try several combinations until one worked. Everything else went well until the projector was on the ceiling, then the disappointments started. The first thing I noticed that the turntable does not hold its position. It continued to lean to the left causing the projector to shift slightly in level and as the UHD60 has no keystone correction this is a critical point. Be aware that after some disassembly and installation, while making all these adjustments, you can easily drop the projector if you do it yourself if you're not careful. I finally got it aligned as best as I could, but a week later the projector started tilting to the left again, ugh! Finding a middle ground and jamming the turntable seems impossible when the projector is ceiling mounted and powered on. Another annoying thing was trying to tighten the last 2 screws to fix the part of the bracket, connected to the projector. One of the 4 tiny hex screws snapped off from having to remove and install it so many times. The mount feels solid and offers plenty of adjustability, flexibility, and extra screws. I love the concept but the final setup is a pain in the back. If only the final adjustment could be made in the ceiling mount, it would take 30 minutes instead of 2 hours.
