This thing can read anything. I bought this to speed up event ticketing and it works very well with all the barcodes I've tried with it. I have found that about 12 inches from the 2D barcodes gives the fastest reading. This scanner can read any 2D (QR/PDF417) and 1D (UPC, Code39, Code128) barcodes I throw at it. I will definitely buy another one. I think it's a small price to pay for the extreme flexibility and productivity of barcode scanning on all media - screen and print!
