I've only had it for a day so who knows what might change but I love this CPU fan so far! Intel Core i5 8400, I don't do overclocking or anything like that, but what I hated about the stock fan was that every time my CPU usage went up to 30 or 40%, the fan got very noisy and annoying. Higher CPU usage meant it got even louder. With the Gammaxx 400 installed, it's just as quiet (or maybe even quieter) than the stock cooler at low loads, but I maxed out my CPU - all cores at 100% for 5 minutes, and I didn't even notice a difference in CPU fan noise . The speed increased slightly from 900 to 1200, but without a noticeable increase in noise. The blue LED is a nice touch. When I first got it I was nervous that it wouldn't fit in my medium sized ATX case with the side closed, but I think it should have freed up millimeters because it closes easily. and the heat pipes don't seem to touch the sides. If your case is smaller, you can check the dimensions. I would describe my case as average. We'll see what happens over time, but for now I like it. Even at maximum full load for 5 minutes, my CPU temperature never rose above 60 degrees Celsius and there was no noticeable difference in fan noise. Good product!
