I've used several of these adapters in the past (some a little more expensive) and the results have been mediocre. In any case, I had to play around with the screen resolution and aspect ratio settings on the computer and TV to get an "acceptable" result. You could always tell from the quality of the image that some kind of transformation was taking place. With this adapter I connected it and it worked great, immediately and without any fuss. Not only did it work, but the picture quality was like a direct HDMI signal, the picture was borderless as it should be with no stretching or compression, and the sound was strong and clear. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. It's so good I'm considering getting a second one as a backup. Great product at a reduced price.
