I bought these because at work I have to wear a mask most of the ten hours a day. The disposable masks we were supposed to use (must be approved and we cannot wear cloth or homemade masks) had smaller ear loops which fit snug but irritated and cut my ears. The plastic extensions were the ones I would lose or break. Hence the clips after searching the internet. They are very tight on my hat and don't move. The clips also seem very strong. I had to play around with the site to find the right spot but they removed the bandages from my ears and my ears healed within a week. It looks like a Frankenstein on my hat, but since my ears have healed I don't care. A small price in my opinion.
