Have been using this product for several months alternating daily with Intense and Listerine. I accidentally swallowed a small amount this morning and for a sore throat and discomfort my wife took me to the emergency room for treatment. After a few hours, there was a "strong” burning sensation and a sore throat that lasted until the evening. I fully understand that this product should not be swallowed. The "See a doctor immediately" warning on the bottle means just that. But accidental ingestion can ruin your day. While I'm sure Intense does what it's advertised to do, use with extreme caution and don't let any of it get to the south of your teeth.
