So I decided to give this newcomer a chance. I would say that it is good value and looks more attractive than other HDMI transmitters in my opinion. Let's get started: Okay: First! VERY solid construction! I'm not sure what type of metal is used in this thing, but it's definitely high quality. It's like $500+ worth of gear. (I've always felt that heavier items make things look better.) Second, size. I use a Sony A6300 with this one and I find they complement each other very well. I was afraid it would be cumbersome, but I was wrong. It's pretty slick and the hotshot fits the camera body very well. (Plus, the HotShoe is made of the same metal as its body.) Third, battery life is good. I've had enough of a 4 hour project with a plus in fairness. (Even cooler, you can plug in a portable battery pack while using it.) Bad: Only one. Application. It works when you need it and can work remotely. But there is definitely room for growth and development. Especially the operating system. I like the simplicity but there is a lot of room for improvement. Settings are in a different language but there are only 3 tabs and not much can be changed other than display quality. (Which doesn't have to be in English to understand it.) Conclusion: All in all, a clear purchase recommendation for the price. 8/10Anything better than Sony's crappy Smart Remote app. This is exactly what I need! The only thing missing is a more powerful application/OS. Glad you pulled the trigger!
