Much better than the cheap chalk my gym sells. When I put a little on my hands, they immediately "firmed". Compared to the cheap chalk you can buy here or the same chalk my gym gives me, I have to use so much of it on my hands and wipe off the excess to get traction with it. Even my hands will still be a bit slippery by the time I get to the bar. I've been using this for my entire deadlift workout for 2 hours with no problems. At the end of the day, chalk is still chalk and therefore breaks easily. My 7-ounce block was a piece, but when I put it in a gallon ziplock bag, it fell apart a bit when shaken in the back of my gym. It's okay, but this chalk will last a long time. It seems denser than other chalk blocks. So they probably compress it at the factory or something. Thanks to Alan Thrall for his honest YouTube review, so I thought I'd give it a try.
