Great until you have to replace the entire human door.

Having used this pet door for almost two years I have a few complaints. The main thing is that it lets water through. Not in the house - in the door. No matter how many times I try to seal it with silicone, the inside of the pet door leaks. When it rains, water seeps in between the wings, and despite the metal "gaskets" that are supposed to keep the water in my door (where the styrofoam is), the water gets in. My human door is now rotting from the inside and the door frame has also started to rot. So, I like the dog door, but I would only install it on a covered porch where no rain can get in. Now I have to pay $1500 to replace the human door, all because I bought a $600 pet door that we can no longer use. Not very happy with that. Also the part at the bottom of the door held by magnets that used to break? Yes, it's broken again. Also, magnets with very very sharp corners got stuck in the ratchet door frame when part of the valve broke off. And my greyhound scratched his knee on the sharp corners of the magnet. :(And one last thing - it's definitely noisy. If there weren't other issues I would just put up with the volume because it keeps the cold out so well. But I wouldn't want that in my life. Number . ------------Old Rating: Fantastic - Holds up just as cold as the rest of the door so no complaints! for breaking magnetic seals. But once they found the magic of nature was on the other side was they were happy to bang on it for days./Magnetic frame a bit and had to hammer it back in. Seems to last 3 months and billed.
