Great design and functionality in every way

Inspired by the Brita filter bottle, everything about this water bottle makes sense. The product video states that the concept of "flow" is more of an afterthought in the minds of other manufacturers. As for the Brita bottle, this statement hits the nail on the head! The Brita bottle used a small silicone straw that kinked when the spout was pushed down to stop the flow of water. This will make it insignificant and, worse, cause the silicone to remain kinked when the nozzle opens again. Over time, this made it very difficult for me to pump water out of the bottle without strong suction. Nava has a well thought out shape and overall construction of the nozzle and straw. A Brita bottle would leak at the top of the spout (even when closed) if there was ice in the water. There's not really much you can do about it, but the Nava Jet has a built in valve that closes when you close the lid so it never leaks! The bottle's oval shape is off-putting at first, but feels comfortable in the hand and still fits (at least partially) in most car cup holders. The rubberized base is ideal for not damaging your furniture and the rubberized handle is comfortable to the touch. The fact that the filters are made from coconut shells is great. I should have known but overlooked that carbon filters made from charcoal can contain heavy metals and other unwanted contaminants. I've worked in coal plants and there are no "nice clean coal plants". I am very happy with this water bottle and look forward to using it every day (not the feeling I thought you would get with a water bottle).
