I like that the filter is stainless steel as it is supposed to last a long time. This is used solely as I love using my own coffee in my machine. In combination with K-Cup paper filters you get a clean cup of coffee without deposits and very easy cleaning. Be sure to follow the instructions for installing the filter bowl in the machine (the arrow on the cover points towards the front edge and points away from the machine). My car is a Keurig K-Compact model. Very happy with this device.
