Switches firmly and safely. The installation in my Unlimited 2006 took about an hour. June 2022. I have been using the pendulum for a year. It's very tight and still shifts hard. It is just as tight as when installed. My wife can't drive a jeep with it. So my advice to anyone thinking about buying this device is to think twice if you have a little person who wants to use it as well. You will also have trouble landing on a 2005-2006 TJ. My solution was to bend the stick forward. I used a hydraulic press to make the bend. As some others have said, the manufacturer had some issues. I'm used to it and don't intend to eliminate it, but it's difficult or impossible for women with small frames.
