I received this table to replace another bar table that I originally liked but was weak. It's built like a tank, but doesn't look bulky. The desktop is a good size, not too big, but I'd still prefer a smaller one. This is personal preference and what you need. I love that you can set it as high or low as you like, you have quite a few options. It doesn't have any preset stops that you have to use. You can install it at any height you want. And you can apply significant pressure to the table without moving it. On my old table, if I pushed too hard, not only would it dislodge the table top, it would also bend the locking mechanism. Here it is not a problem. You don't have to worry about changing the top position or breaking anything. And it's easy to move, you just press the locking lever and you can adjust the table to any height you want and then release the lever. I use this desktop on my beautiful kitchen counter, so it's very important to me that any table I use doesn't damage my counter. It has rubber on all contact points so it shouldn't ruin the surface you put it on. I have no complaints about this table and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, sturdy, adjustable table that doesn't look too industrial and won't damage any surface it's placed on.
