Review on LEXIVON LX 771: Multi-Functional, Self-Igniting, Adjustable Tool by Eric Ramen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm so glad I updated! :^D

I had several butane gas soldering irons. Like many (I think... ;) I started out with really "cheap" models that you could buy for less than $10. and they worked. better than i expected. for money! However . Also, I've been let down too many times by a cracked hull and less than "reliable" valves and fittings. It would be nice if I got together. but empty and unusable when I pulled it out of my "gigbag" (instrument case... whatever)! So I decided to "fork out". and I'm always glad I did! This flashlight/soldering iron is still a bargain/price. provided that this is a *real* instrument and not almost a toy machine like the cheap ones! all-metal body/tank; rubber grips, built-in detonator with appropriate safety features; some *really helpful* tips; Pedestal/Stand (for hands-free operation). even a squishy sponge for a really clean tip on fine/delicate work! Ouch! Right! And a case for the whole shooting! On top of that, the tank (butane compartment) is much larger than I'm used to. coupled with a highly adjustable (wide range - especially at low temperature) valve/flame setting. I can work for days without filling up (which is *super* quick and easy anyway)! No strings! Ready almost immediately (at least for soldering wires)! I just love this shop! Too bad I didn't get it sooner! Sometimes you're afraid to spend money just to get a different form of the same cheap item you had before. but absolutely *not* here! Worth every penny! I have already ordered an additional nozzle set. that were easy to find. exactly here! I'm not very picky about my tools. but it certainly *seems* (feels) like he could take some abuse (within reason) without a whimper! ; )

Pros
  • torch
Cons
  • boring packaging
