I think this filter gives better tasting water than Brita or Pur. The design is slightly different from other steins and takes a little getting used to when pouring. Although it doesn't really matter. On the other hand, I really like their filtration system that attaches to the faucet. The water tastes great. Admittedly, a large filter is expensive to buy, but more cost effective in the long run since you only need to replace it once a year.
