I read the reviews on this product before purchasing. The product only comes with a box and tools to install it on your tank. Assembly instructions were not included. It's pretty much plug and play. You just need to connect it to the tank (a wrench is included), then connect the hose and you can plug it straight into an outlet and you're done. It has a small dial to set the number of bubbles per second. It took a little fiddling to get the right amount. But it was easy. It makes a clicking sound every time the solenoid fires. It's not loud, but it gets me every time. Please note that it takes some time for air to enter your aquarium, this happens every time you turn it off. So be sure to take this into account. And yet the same thing happens when you turn it off, just the other way around. The CO2 will continue to flow for about an hour depending on how you adjust the bubbles. I believe it is due to the air remaining in the hose. Just a few things to keep in mind so you don't kill your fish. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I don't have that big of a setup so I'm very happy with the amount I paid for it. There is not much difference to regulators that cost twice or three times as much. Delivers CO2 in the right amount. That's all that counts.
