The shorts are like a bag, very big, luckily they have an elastic waistband and a drawstring that can be adjusted (which is also often untied). The top looks like a dry material, the top fits better than the shorts. My son is almost 4.5 years old and weighs 43 pounds of solid muscle. I bought a large size but the shorts are 2 sizes larger and have a small shape. They don't shrink in the wash, I've tried!
