Review on Red TESmart 2 Port 4K@60Hz Ultra HD HDMI KVM Switch with 2x1, Keyboard & Mouse Pass Through, USB 2.0 Device Support, and 5ft KVM Cables by Jason Hymon

I was hesitant to purchase this model due to some bad reviews but I'm glad I did. To understand the relevance of this review, let me outline my setup. My monitor is a Samsung 4K UHD to which I connect two laptops: an HP Elitebook 840 G6 via an OEM dock and a high-end Lenovo X1 Gen 2 with dedicated graphics via Lenovo Thunderbolt Dock. I've connected a powered USB hub to a universal KVM USB jack that contains a Microsoft Wireless Natural Multimedia Keyboard, HD Lifecam, and various other USB devices. A Logitech M705 mouse connected to a KVM mouse port via a Logitech transponder. Pros: No noticeable mouse lag in steady state, flawless and clear video even while playing, and no clutter on desktop. Port selection does not take time to switch the mouse, and the keyboard and video are fully switched in less than 2 seconds. The remaining USB devices will be switched within 3 seconds after switching from machine to machine. I haven't seen the switch work better. Cons: Because of this setup, I can't use keystrokes to change the active selected KVM port. This is mitigated somewhat by the remote control and a simple button on the KVM that is within easy reach.
