Pretty good radio for radio

I'm glad I bought this radio. I haven't had that since I was a kid. I remember listening to the Detroit Tigers baseball team and CKLW and WKNR radio in the days when rock was born. I can't believe how radio has improved. At night I put a transistor under my pillow and in the morning the 9 volt battery was dead. This new Kaito KA210 uses 2 AA and I put in the cheapest one I had which was 8 for a dollar at the local store. Two weeks and it's still working. The sensitivity of this radio is great as I'm from the Detroit area where I still live - CKLW, Windsor, Ontario. - WKNR, now over Lake Erie in Cleveland - 6:60 a.m. in Sandusky, Michigan. good catch of the day - low output and 60 miles north in rural area - 8:40 am Lexington, KY and 7:00 am Cincinnati, Ohio at night. The selectivity is the best I've seen on a DSP radio, although it's not advertised as such. The red LED lights up as a station signal and this is the most functional of the ones I've seen. It goes out between the next stations, and when it lights up, there's a station there! Before I forget, FM is also very good. Not a drop of blood on the dial of local power plants. Very good selectivity and sensitivity. Surprisingly for a radio of this type, the analog dial is fairly accurate. Hats off! There is also a customizable NOAA weather service that I have no problem accepting in my area. The Kaito KA210 is a good shirt pocket radio that comes in a solid case and has good volume and sound. This is perfect for the upcoming spring and baseball season. I got mine from Revain by Electronnix. Pretty good radio for the price.
