Should have taken a picture. Batteries were DoA. As I mentioned in my review to the seller, it's great for my purposes and it's an office so I had a million reliable AAA batteries to put in. It's important for everyone to know that an accurate infrared forehead reading is 1 degree Fahrenheit below what anyone in the US would expect from an oral thermometer. So all healthy people had 97 degrees. I put a label on it to let everyone know 99 degrees is a real problem and they need to go home. And never name your battery brand BURSTO!
