I bought them because I have a new solid floor and baseboard throughout the house. I wanted the house to be free of traditional outdoor door stops and not get in the way of washing/sweeping. I'm still doubting my decision and am keeping the other doorstops I bought just in case. They work well to prevent the doorknob from banging against the wall, but there is a crease and the handle will bang against the wall when pressure is applied to the door. It can't help children to hit the doorknob against the wall. My 11 year old idiot bounced off the door and that didn't stop the doorknob from hitting the wall. Luckily she didn't try hard enough to damage the wall before I told her what she was doing. Like I said, you idiot. I could also see them damaging the door or frame if adjusted so that the door is too far from the wall and applying too much pressure. And that even if two pins are installed on each door. Another downside is that the pins in the hinges go up, at least on my doors. probably too heavy for these doorstops. Even if I choose to use traditional doorstops instead, I have a few doors where regular doorstops don't work well. I end up leaving them on at least a few doors. They seem to be of good quality. The exception was that one of the twenty or so had a piece of rubber missing from the screw. Each is sealed in plastic so I know it didn't fall into the box. This cannot be used as it punches a hole in the door jamb.
