I've had several of these broken doors and they haven't seen much use either. Having a backup is smart, so if they break your set :-)

They do what they say. They are much stronger than the thin ones I had before and broke. Hope these last much longer. I will update if not.

Was looking for a solution and settled on these, they are strong and work well but can still damage the door panel (like most other hinges).

Updated Rating: Originally gave this 5 stars, I am downgrading to 3 stars now. While they look great on our doors and work exactly as they should, we have found them to leave dark stains on the doors and wood trim.

These stoppers are made from real oiled bronze rather than just being painted matte black so they coordinate well with other ORB fittings. Two of our hinges were slightly scratched - these defects are not noticeable after assembly. We used them to replace our obsolete gold stoppers with two adjustable pins. I bought them because I have a new solid floor and baseboard throughout the house. I wanted the house to be free of traditional outdoor door stops and not get in the way of washing/sweeping. I'm still doubting my decision and am keeping the other doorstops I bought just in case. They work well to prevent the doorknob from banging against the wall, but there is a crease and the handle will bang against the wall when pressure is applied to the door.
