Review on 🚲 Seatylock Viking Heavy Duty Bike Lock Chain with Key – Maximum Security Bicycle Lock by Andy Tran

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Longer length - more versatility

Just about any bike lock is a simple deterrent against casual thievery - professionals can defeat almost any lock in seconds/minutes and be gone before the echo fades. I have ABUS U-locks, highly rated, as my primary lock choice anytime I'm away from the bikes for more than a few seconds. What I like about this chain-style lock, which is always a struggle w/ U-locks, is that it's easier to secure the bike to a fixed object. Not easy to predictably and reliably do this w/ U-locks, which are sized small in order to protect against leverage attacks. I plan to use this beefy chain in situations where U-lock isn't optimal. I'd go with this longer 55" version vs. the shorter 35.5" in hindsight.Workmanship, smoothness of lock/unlock all appear to be top notch. Magnetic engagement of lock and hasp is a nice touch. Chain is well protected by thick cloth sleeve, don't foresee any damage to my nice frames. I think this is a very good value at this price point.
