works immediately after installation

Used with HD output camcorder with OBS live streaming software on Microsoft Surfacebook. The computer recognized the device immediately and everything worked. I had problems with other video capture cards, this one worked perfectly. Also, as long as it doesn't get too hot, which I've experienced with other video capture cards.
