Review on πŸ›οΈ Annie Elastic Comfort Cotton Double by Stacy Malcolm

Well, it's definitely big enough

I'm a decent afro size so I need something bigger than the hat I bought at the pharmacy. I love the way this hat is made but it just isn't big enough. I bought it thinking it was an enlarged version of what I have but because the picture of the item was completely black it wasn't until it was delivered. that I saw differences (besides the size). First, the smaller hood is made entirely of the same material, including the strap. This is a cap, the bandage is a thick strip of uncovered chewing gum. I stay away from rubber bands because it's a "cutting" material, and because it wraps around my head in the temples and "kitchen" areas, I don't like the idea that rubbing can thin out those areas (I always have nor edges, and I want to keep them). She). I think I need to cover with (real) satin or silk to protect the edges. Second, as others have said, the material is not soft. It makes a rustle and the empty part of the hood does not fall. It pops like a chef's hat. My drugstore hat is very soft, not a stool. None of them are actually satin, I think it's more like satin polyester or nylon, but this one is stiffer. I'm not sure if it's just due to the fact that it has a lining, but I'm considering shortening the lining because I'd rather have the outer fabric closer to my hair as it has a smoother texture. The lining is another part that looks like it has potential "teeth" for hair to get caught in. Considering the cost is much smaller, this is usually a good value. And the size is sufficient. This hat fits a lot of hair and I feel like I have a big head with a lot of hair. The elastic band keeps it secure on your head unless you have a smaller than average one; I think it would be too big for a child. Not sure if it will eventually stretch like a rubber band (which doesn't threaten my smaller hat).

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • No color needed
