Review on AT&T TL86009 Cordless Handset, Black/Silver | For Use with AT&T TL86109 Expandable Phone System by Stanley Redline

We purchased this phone in late 2012 to complement the original TL86109 base and cordless handset bought about a year earlier. Pairing with the base was easy with no issues and the display shows it is handset 2. Reception and quality are very good, just like the original. However, from time to time, at irregular intervals of about 2 months, communication with the base breaks off. The phone rings in another part of the house and we can't answer it - the display says "Can't get through, try again" - so we have to pick up another extension. Fixing it by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery is easy enough, but it shouldn't happen at all. We only deducted one star because it doesn't happen often and we've learned to tolerate electronic devices that require the occasional restart. Our verdict: Most of the time it works very well - better than the standalone cordless phone it replaced and we would buy this model again.
