I have a 2 1/2 gallon Deep Blue Betta tank. This pump looks just like the Depp Blue filter, but is completely silent! There is a slight audible hum in another aquarium with a Deep Blue filter. @ $9.99 compared to $14.99, this Aquarium Masters pump is more affordable and a better buy for the price. My tank was crystal clear overnight at full speed. I haven't entered any taps yet, but if I do I'll reduce the speed as low as possible. Brand new, it still runs a little harder than I would like, but as it runs and fills up with filter material it slows down. Instead of the spout I put a big rock to block the movement.
