Chose Sony NEX-3 over Panasonic GF2

I've been arguing about getting the NEX-3 or the highly advertised Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2. After reading numerous reviews and in particular this article by PC Mag [.], I chose the NEX-3 based on one important characteristic: sensor type and size. The sensor used in the NEX-3 is the actual sensor used in Sony's range of digital SLR cameras. On the other hand, the Panasonic GF2 uses four-thirds specification Micro sensors, which are smaller than the Sony APS-C sensor. According to PC Mag, the GF2's Micro Four Thirds sensor is more than five times larger (225mm²) than the Canon PowerShot S95 (the king of point-and-shoot). Like the Sony NEX-3, the APS-C sensors (370mm²) are 8.5 times larger than Canon S95 1/1.7-inch sensors and 1.6 times larger than Micro Four Thirds sensors . The APS-C sensors also perform slightly better than the GF2 in low light. I've tested all 3 in real life (a GF2 borrowed from a friend who bought it in Asia and I have an S95) and the result is exactly as PC Mag says. NEX-3 is simply better! I was happy to have made the right choice.
