This is not a direct cooler for the 87 R10 pickup as listed. The tanks do not have the ribs required to fit the factory mounts. Significant modifications are required for a secure fit. The coolant hose fittings on my radiator were not splined and did not match the factory hoses. I had to buy hoses from a whole different truck and then tighten them beyond normal pressure to keep them secure. After final installation, the heatsink and fan are effectively cooled. So far, after two months of use, the cooler is not leaking. It took a very long time until I finally found the small isolated leak. Luckily I was able to monitor my truck's temperature and keep it from overheating, but all that extra work isn't necessary. It would be a good cooler for non-standard applications if it didn't leak after two months. After 9 months the seller still hasn't responded to my initial complaints and now also to a complaint when the fans stop working.
