I'm sure some people swear by this, but I pulled mine back out for a reason. I bought an adjustable tube because they claim it works much better at idle in very hot regions. Well, living in the desert made me think it would be useful for a long time in the summer when the weather is in the triple digits. It fits great, the car is well maintained but damn that's where the fun ends. My brand new system, new compressor, battery, hoses, condenser installed perfectly, system evacuated with vacuum pump, manometer connected and serviced. Pleasant cold air, no leaking like before, no clutch squeaking. I found life good. Then the howling began. At first it looked like a defective fan motor. After I parked the car, this horrible knocking under the hood continued. I finally narrowed down the possible culprit to a new tube. Undressed, system charged and now all is quiet. No ghosts moaning at traffic lights and attracting attention or driving me crazy in the car. Who knows, maybe the proximity to a compressor, condenser or long hoses will cause weird harmonics, not sure, but it drove me and some tech friends crazy for a while. Maybe it works for others, but if ghosts appear after installation.
