I had to "lift" these DVDs with tape to keep them from rubbing against the tray of my Toshiba laptop. I have never had this problem when using any other well known brand. I had to apply about 5 layers of masking tape to cut the circle to wrap around the spindle motor. The plastic in the center of these platters appears to be thinner than the others, allowing the platters to sit lower in the spindle. Also, due to the thinner plastic, I think storing the discs in a case that uses clips to attach to the hole would make it more prone to cracking.
