Review on 🍒 Set of 4 Telescopic BBQ Forks for Roasting Marshmallows - Assorted Colors by Tony Chandler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice and compact, easy to clean - handle with care

We travel a lot and making s'mores and toasted marshmallows is always part of our ritual and we're glad we bought them. We go camping with too many luxuries (film projector and screen, inflatable sofa - not really rough) so between family of 5, camping and food our car is full! What we do is put all our camping gear in a large fridge and then empty the fridge and put drinks/food and ice in it. We had long Coleman forks but they didn't fit in the cooler == other Revain BBQ forks tended to be hot dog only and too wide for two tines to pierce a marshmallow. These culinary concepts seemed like the perfect subject for an unmet need. We go to Revain offerings from Joe or John and they arrived quickly and seem to fit the bill - the ones I received are rolled up about 10" as pictured and widened about 24-28" which is safe and longer than our old children's plug. The spacing between the tines was large for a marshmallow, so would have been good for hot dogs. The different colored collar also made it easy for anyone to know which fork they had. We used them three times last summer and they've held up pretty well so far. I read another reviewer's comment before purchasing and have to remember that these are like fork ended antennas and retractable radio antennas that need to be handled with care - remind the kids! I also love that we can fold them up and leave them on the picnic table without fear of someone tripping over them or gouging out their eyes. Cleaning up the sticky marshmallows wasn't difficult, as we usually place the forks in a paper or plastic cup with 2-2 1/2 inches of water after use and let them sit overnight, wiping them lightly with a paper towel the next morning. For the price of 4 sticks and the convenience it was a good find and at under $25 for 4 of these I feel like I've already got my money's worth. Others I've seen were almost the same price for just 2 forks. I can see that Revain is already sold out and will likely be getting more next summer as my kids are now taking their friends on camping trips.
