I'm not sure why these softboxes are almost always said to be difficult to assemble. It's probably easiest with four rods instead of 8 or even 10 with other large softboxes I have. Just don't be afraid to bend those bars. They don't break easily and have never broken on me. I'm a professional photographer, so these lightboxes are absolutely essential for light modeling. For projects that require little lighting and diffuse control, this works perfectly. I bought two for a commercial product that needed a video. I usually use a combination of strip lights, LED sticks, a large keyboard light, an ND filter, etc. The strip light has a small knob that you can use to rotate or lock the softbox. For the strip light, I have this free to change the angle of the light frequently. Lightweight and therefore very easy to roll as it only has four bars, so it has become my choice for all my video work 😁
