great price, great product

Toyota dealer wanted 264$ for two lifts for my 2009 Matrix. I bought two Arana litigate supports for 20$ that worked great.

Pros
  • Easy to install even with one hand out of commission. SO far they are absolutely great.
Cons
  • The lift supports may be too stiff or difficult to operate, making it hard to lift or close the liftgate

Easy Install in my review

Ordered Wednesday & arrived Monday even though I have prime membership. We just installed it & are pleased with the ease of installation. Required a 10mm wrench, strap (or another person to hold hatch up or a mop etc) and a flat head screwdriver. My son used a tie down strap & attached it to the garage opener & hatch hook to keep hatch up during install. Install took 6 min tops each side. Hatch is working again! Too soon to rate performance but my arms are not the strongest & I hope isn't a…

Poor quality. - my new review

I installed the two supports and they lasted a day. On the second day they would not hold the weight of the door. That's my review.

Pros
  • Easy to install. Fits my 2009 Toyota Matrix perfectly.
Cons
  • The lift supports may emit a loud or unpleasant noise during use, causing a distraction or annoyance for passengers

Cant hold up hatchback

Doesn't have enough power to hold up the hatchback they are made for and a piece of it has already broken off. Ive had them for 3 weeks

Worked Like a charm

Easy installation comprising with 4 clips. Now my trunk opens fully on my 2009 Matrix. I've had the car for a year and got annoyed that the trunk wouldn't open fully. This part fixed it instantly.

  • These are excellent, I replaced my worn out ones on my 2009 Toyota Matrix. Easy swap out, 5-10 minutes

Worked for 3 minutes on 2009 toyota matrix

I have a 2009 matrix. Dealer wanted $174. 99 per strut. These seemed doable. Installed in 8 minutes. They worked for less than 8 minutes. 3rd time they went up, they stalled. Now it's a crap shoot as to whether or not they'll open properly.

Pros

Easy to install - my new review

Although it took a while to get it (had to ordered 2x because of shipping issues), it was easy to install and met my expectation for an OEM replacement. I just hope it will last.

Great working liftgate struts!

I've had these supports on my '09 Toyota Matrix for about three months now. They were a little harder to install than expected, but work awesome. I highly recommend these for anyone needing to replace worn out factory supports.

Works perfectly and fits my 2009 Toyota Matrix XRS. Great price; cheapest I could find compatible with my vehicle. A caveat: Revain Garage said this item is incompatible with my Matrix but I took measurements of the existing lift supports installed before buying and confirmed they match the provided measurements for this product.
