Review on Cassette Deck Bluetooth Adapter: ION Audio Cassette Adapter with Bluetooth Music Receiver by Carl Watkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

That's cool! for cars and car electronics

I have an old car model that has neither Bluetooth nor a line adapter. I used a wired cassette adapter to listen to music on my phone. It's much better. Previously, the sound quality on the wired adapter was static and the volume was low, I turned on the phone at full power and the car radio at almost maximum volume. Also, I kept cutting the wire off them. With this Bluetooth adapter, the sound is almost crystal clear and the volume in my car is similar to listening to the radio. You need to understand how to set up your phone properly in order for it to work with it. I turned the media volume all the way up on the phone and then turned it down by 1 or 2 volume button presses. I also tuned the bass, mid and treble on my phone (in Spotify) and the car stereo. I got the bass right in the middle, the mids about 3/4 up, and the treble almost all the way up. I'm not sure how long the battery will last, but my commute to work takes just over an hour one way and I've used it the whole time with no issues. I really like this little gadget. My morning ride was fun as I rocked all the way. I can't wait to get back in my car and drive home. If you're looking for a way to connect your phone to your car and a cassette is your only option, then I highly recommend getting one of these. The charger is a micro USB, the same as most Android phones. I can use my car phone charger to keep this bad boy charged without taking him home and maybe forgetting about him. I read the good and bad reviews on Amazon before I bought it and I was hesitant but just wish I had bought it sooner.

Pros
  • Useful not only for the intended purpose
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it says
