They talk about soap in these reviews, which can be found here. We are looking for sharpness in the reviews that are accessible on the German website photAmazon (available on), and everything is very clearly documented in figures concerning sharpness at various focal lengths depending on the aperture (actually there is not only about sharpness). Someone writes like this, presumably after having already taken apart the lens (!): "Not for landscapes with a horizon line: he thinks along the edge on the right," - it is "thinks," - "At 50mm, you need to cover the window with the distance scale with your hand, there is a flare," - it is "thinks," - "maybe it was not worth disassembling the lens yourself?! Someone has written, "as I shoot photo shoots at 85 mm 1.8, I continue." What does the focal length 85mm have to do with it when we have 70mm at the end, and the hole is obviously not in comparison (1.8! )? Another review states, "But look at the same wedding images taken on a set of 20mm, 50mm, and 85mm." However, our zoom range is 24-70 (both 20mm and 85mm are not included in our zoom range at all!) In addition, the lens has autofocus and a motor, and the aperture is 2.8. And taking pictures isn't only limited to taking pictures of weddings! By the way, the D series of lenses that we stock (24-70) are not a rival to this lens in any way, shape, or form! It is quite evident that the desire to take portraits, landscapes, or street scenes does not motivate all of these purchases, as stated in the aforementioned quotation. Only landscapes and one particular street, the portraits are, of course, questionable; but, the photo looks quite great when shot with the aperture wide open on a 70mm lens! Mount Moses, the convent of Saint Catherine, the pyramids of Giza, Prague, Barcelona, and any other destination are all within my reach with the use of this lens and a full-frame camera body. I'll bring it to a holiday celebration at a kindergarten, as well as to get-togethers in a cafe. This glass can be used for a wide variety of purposes. I won't be carrying any of the lens's accessories with me, I won't be needing portraits with a blurred backdrop and a "airy" photo like I do at weddings, and I won't be using this lens for any occasion where I don't need a picture of exceptional quality!
