I've just started experimenting with these watercolor brushes and so far I'm loving them! I haven't drawn in a long time and these pens made it easy for me to try again. (My first rusty attempts are uploaded here as an example.) Colors are ready to paint, no need to install a new palette. The colors are very vibrant, which is good, and if you want more muted colors the kit also includes a water brush to dilute a color or mix multiple colors. You'll need to work quickly with water and have a paper towel on hand to soak up excess water unless your effect is for very wet water. You can also use pen color and mix your own colors on the palette, which is good if you want to fill a large area with shadows or other custom colors, for example, and use a regular brush if you don't want to go any further. diluted with a water brush. Having not painted in a while I decided to do a little work and use the smaller watercolor paper that comes with this set and I find it to be of very good quality. Another nice feature is that you have to clean less, the brushes don't wash! I used to be an illustrator, then a computer graphic designer, so I kind of lost my way and sense of my own creation, and these watercolor pencils are a good introduction to that world. I've joined some friends who paint outdoors from time to time and this would be perfect to try, live in and just use outdoors. I look forward to getting better with them.
