These are very cute and I thought they would be great for my 6 month old to learn how to use utensils. When they arrived I was shocked at how short they were. The pen fits easily in my child's palm without leaving extra space. This, combined with the bulkiness of the handle, makes it very uncomfortable to hold and the child cannot handle it at all. He's great with Munchkin spoons and doesn't miss his mouth as much as he does with these. In the end, he just glues them to the sides. The bite/gas block is really big, he definitely won't get it in his mouth past this part, so it does the job. The material is excellent, easy to clean and withstands disinfection in the microwave. Like touch bulges also on the bottom. If they had a longer handle they would be perfect. But that's not why he worked for us.
