Laptops have become powerful multitasking devices, but sometimes the real world state isn't enough to indicate productive workloads. The Duex Lite portable display can double the workspace on your laptop screen with a portable magnetic monitor. The Duex Lite is compatible with virtually any laptop and the display turns on instantly via the USB Type-C port. I've also been able to run the Duex Lite from multiple USB A 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 laptops. There was a delay when connecting the display to the USB-A port as the operating system had to load the drivers before the display was ready to use. Windows 10 will automatically provide the drivers once connected to the USB-A port. Installing the Duex Lite display is a breeze. Remove the protective film, center the Duex Lite screen on the back of the laptop display and press down slightly. After that, open the laptop screen, slide out the Duex Lite display and connect one end of the USB cable to the laptop and the other end to the display. The Duet Lite can be folded to the left or right of the laptop screen. Also, it can slide on magnets to adapt to screen sizes. By the way, that's not all, you can turn back the Duex Lite's screen and entertain your child while you work on the laptop display or just surf the web. The magnets that stick to the back of the laptop screen are thin and strong. Magnets hold the display securely to the back of the screen. The back of the Duet Lite can also be easily detached from the laptop. Of course, four magnets are glued to the back of the screen. There are 3 buttons on the Duex Lite, a main menu button and two other buttons for brightness control. The menu controls backlight, contrast, saturation, temperature and reset. You can also use Duex Lite with your smartphone (if it's compatible). I tested OnePlus 8t and it worked great. The plastic case that holds the display is a little thin. When reinserting the display, the display gets caught in the plastic grooves. Even when the display is extended, it hangs crooked. A metal case or better material will solve this problem. Also, the USB cable is quite stiff. DUEX Lite looks crisp, light and a little thin, but when installed it can be as thick or thicker than a laptop, allowing it to double the thickness of your device when installed.
