I spent a lot of time learning about fish spatulas. I work in a professional kitchen for one of the top 10 chefs in the country currently about 5-6 days a week for 12+ hours a day and my spatulas are used HARD. I found this guy as a temporary, inexpensive replacement until the $50 German stamp I wanted was in stock at my local brick and mortar store. In the end I was so happy with the edge and grip that I just didn't upgrade as planned. This worked great for about 6 months until a new set of stages emerged and pushed things so hard that they repeatedly bent them back and forth until the metal succumbed to the pressure caused by the soda can tab bending back and forth. causes the can to shear off within 2 to 3 weeks. Personally, I've never had a problem with this spatula as some reviewers claim. Brand Victorinox, smooth on shaft and rivets, without cracks and splinters in the wood. I took a risk with the order and was satisfied. However, durability is clearly not enough if you don't respect your gear. So keep this in mind when you are with other people who use your gear all day. Result; yes as a replacement spatula i would order again but i think i will get a better one for my daily toils and struggles. Also, Marcy, if you're reading this, you'll know you owe me a new spatula.
