With a simple assembly and a little forethought you can find the right "feet" to the base to hold your iPad/tablet. The loop connection that holds it to the bike is difficult to make tight enough to keep it in the same place in the event of a crash, but it works well with exercise bikes or trainers. I'd have to find a better way to mount it on the handlebars if I really wanted to take it to the street on my bike. Removing the iPad/tablet from the platform is easy by holding it. It's not the platform that poses a potential stability issue, it's the hinge that holds the platform to the handlebars. Overall it meets my needs with my bike mounted on a training platform.
