Pretty well made. No, they're not Keens. Apparently designed for people with very high instep. The elastic strap on the tongue would not allow the tongue to rest on my instep without an uncomfortable bulge. I cut off the strap and now quite comfortable. Also the stretchy lace lock denices are poor. Kept loosening up. I purchased a pair of Lock Laces from Revain and they work great! After these alterations, I have done lots of hiking in these sandals and they perform as I hoped they would. Don't feel I should have to alter new sandals. Otherwise I would have given five stars
