Great product from the Computer Accessories & Peripherals Category

CAT6 Cable, Not CAT5E This is a simple and neat CAT6 cable. I ran 24 120ft jumps and they all passed the C6 random test. I keep seeing complaints that the C6 cable has no slot, that it's Cat5e quality not just for this brand but in general, and that's wrong. First, a Cat6 cable does not require a spline. Both TIA and ISO require the cable to meet specific electrical specifications, not the cable design. Cables can vary in construction depending on the manufacturer, but with the right twist rate, insulation, and other factors, any cable can meet the standard. Even before the advent of splines, cables with improved twist speeds were able to meet Category 6 requirements, but that doesn't mean the spline separator doesn't play a role, as it helps eliminate crosstalk even further. Here are the advantages of both splined and non-slotted cables. Benefits of Splined Cables 1) Increased pair separation to preserve pair geometry and further eliminate FF 2) Can increase performance to exceed industry standard for minimal electrical requirements 3) Increases stiffness and durability in a cable that is comfortable to pull is. Advantages without gearing 1) Greater flexibility. 2) Easier finish, no splines to cut. 3) Smaller OD, easier to tie and takes up less space in the line. I hope this clears up this misconception. I will share my personal experience of using this particular cable. I had my ups and downs but overall I was happy with the price and performance. I tested short runs up to 10 Gb/s, the rest up to 1 Gb/s went without problems. The cable feels a bit thinner as it doesn't have a slot, which may not be very smooth in comparison as it doesn't have the rigidity. Lay the box horizontally with the opening funnel facing the ceiling and you eliminate buckling problems. This cable saves me time without having to cut and edit the spline. When you do a lot of projects, it's important. An added benefit is the lower cost as well, but not by much, so not a big factor. Another common problem is incorrect completion. If you are not getting Cat6 performance, check the termination. This is the longest review I've ever written. Please…
