Professional Installer/Customer

I've been buying category cables for another company for 14 years. When I opened my own store I decided to go a different route than the traditional supplier to save some money. There are a few things to consider when buying category cables. Quality always comes first and price second. You can sink your own ship trying to cut corners based on any system. This cable is of the highest quality, from the color on the pairs to the sturdy, two-handled box that has a large opening in case you kinkโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Good but not great

Excellent cable for computer accessories and peripherals

I've been routing cables for 20-25 years and this has to be one of the easiest cables to deal with. It's been a while since I've worked with a cable without a spline. I will definitely buy this cable again.

Pros
  • understandable even for an old man
Cons
  • annoying

Great product from the Computer Accessories & Peripherals Category

CAT6 Cable, Not CAT5E This is a simple and neat CAT6 cable. I ran 24 120ft jumps and they all passed the C6 random test. I keep seeing complaints that the C6 cable has no slot, that it's Cat5e quality not just for this brand but in general, and that's wrong. First, a Cat6 cable does not require a spline. Both TIA and ISO require the cable to meet specific electrical specifications, not the cable design. Cables can vary in construction depending on the manufacturer, but with the right twistโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Infinitely Slow

Quality cable at a low price. What's not to love?

Yes it is solid copper. Yes, it is August 23rd. It doesn't have a spline, so it's much easier to complete. Not exactly "kink free" as I had a few knots when pulling, but overall acceptable. I tested a sub-box over 280 feet long that terminated on both ends with thin-profile Cable Matters jacks. The cable easily passes both the Lantek 7G Certifier and the SignalTEK-CT. I will use this cable again on future jobs.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Category 6 cables that work - plain and simple

We had to run several lengthy network fanouts at our facility to add new security cameras and wireless access points. This cable has proven itself very well. It is easy to work with and beautifully finished. Sometimes I'm a bit reluctant to buy from a supplier/brand that I haven't used before. This product did NOT disappoint. It works as expected and I will definitely buy it again. The box contains 1000 linear feet of network cable, so we were able to get 5-6 long network cables out of eachโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

High quality - Cat 6 cable

As everyone has said, this is a very high quality Cat6 riser cable. So if your cable provider switches to it, the poor quality of the cable you previously had can make the connection very intermittent or even inoperable. I have no problem with this cable for my PoE system. 500 feet is a very good length for my home setup. and not much manure left.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Bargain!: Computers & Accessories

This is Category 6, Unprotected, Not Weatherproof for outdoor use or burial. I ran 6 x 100 feet. Works perfectly. Very important. Will be, but again as needed.

Pros
  • One-Year Trial
Cons
  • Trade-In

NOT what was described (including on the packaging).

Marked 23AWG CAT 6 but is actually 24AWG and no plastic center spacer; My guess is that although the cable is labeled CAT6, it's actually CAT5e: same gauge, same design. Length is in 2 foot increments. That means I paid $115/box for CAT5e, which is really only $45/box.

Pros
  • Complete Kit
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price
