Essential Steering & Suspension Tools

This makes removing and installing the ball joint on older tour and pickup trucks that I work with much easier. The price was fair, it was exactly as described, arrived quickly, I'm happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Not big enough for my 1994 Ford Dana 60.

They are well made but the flat cup for the lower ball joint on my 1994 f350 Dana 60 is still not big enough. I couldn't balance it to squeeze the ball joint.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Damaged

Well machined tools from OTC

I just replaced the ball joints on my 2002 Lincoln Navigator. This kit is required to replace the lower ball joints. Just note that old knuckles need to be smashed in as they have a broad shoulder that doesn't allow for the included mug. However, new replacements will work. Inserting new ones was pretty easy. Get good OTC tools! Power for the home champion!

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Quality

Kit does not include all adapters required for F-250

Twin Axles) and you will also likely need OTC #222305 to remove the lower ball joint. I don't know why they are not included in this kit as they are clearly marked in the instructions that came with the kit.

Pros
  • Very Fast Shipping
Cons
  • No Automatic

2002 F250 7.3 4x4 Overview

Kind of a plagiarism, you can't remove the ball joints from a 2002 f250 4x4 7.3 diesel as they say I had to use parts from another OEM ball joint kit I had. You can install with just these adapters, but even then you still need other adapters to get the job done. Be sure to get a large C-press from OTC. I've included a picture of the OEM ball joint adapter I used to remove the ball joints.

Pros
  • Durability Finish
Cons
  • There are issues

Other adapters were perfect for the job

With a little ingenuity I managed to get it to work but the adapter, presumably for the bottom ball joint, doesn't have enough depth to push the joint out. I had to use one of the adapters that came with the OTC and literally squeeze them to get the depth I needed. Some people just bought a piece of pipe and used it. Other adapters were perfect for this job. (99 Ford F250 4X4 Superduty.)

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Almost never

WILL NOT WORK ON SUPERDUTY

THIS HAS NO PARTS TO REPLACE BALL JOINTS ON SUPERDUTY 99-04 F250 OR F350 TRUCKS! I PURCHASED THIS SET SPECIALLY BECAUSE THE SELLER SAID IT WOULD BE. I HAD TO MAKE TWO TRIPS TO THE HARDWARE STORE AND SPEND $20 TO BUY PIPE CONNECTIONS TO REPLACE APPLICATIONS. OTC MAKES GOOD TOOLS BUT PLEASE GO TO THEIR SITE AND CONFIRM WHAT APPS OR ADDITIONAL PARTS YOU NEED FOR YOUR VEHICLE BEFORE YOU LOSE YOUR MONEY!@!

Pros
  • 1999-2004 Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Interval

Good quality tool, not a very good fit

I bought this tool to use with a discontinued KD ball joint tool. The tool fits very well and had no problems using it in the KD ball joint tool. The problem was OTS. The installation guide in the kit was last updated in 2004, it's now 2016, how long has this been on a shelf somewhere. I used it on a 2006 F350 4X4, two receivers fit in my ball joints and the other was useless to me in my application. Upon further investigation I then found that it is not only used in my model and year but is…

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
