If you (like me) have thick glasses and need a decent corded phone for your bedside table that lets you make calls without glasses, then this phone is for you. This affordability and convenience cannot be overstated, especially at a time when we depend on emergency services at the end of the phone line. The sound quality is fine when using a phone. Unfortunately, the quality of the hands-free kit leaves a lot to be desired. However, it does not require batteries or an outlet to operate. I haven't tried any programmable keys. Whatever you do, don't lose the instructions or you'll never understand them. Additionally, the hands-free button allows the cats to wake up (and dial!) the phone by pressing the buttons. The price is definitely good. . I had trouble finding a standard corded phone at a reasonable price.
