LOSS OF TIME AND $$$!

I spent an hour and a half trying out the napkin, chair strap and table rail, following the instructions on the stove word for word. DO NOT DO THAT! The directions say to use the heat-on-stove method for the darkest, deepest shades, so I used that for my test. Each of the 4 items had the same anthracite gray with blue paint spots, which never dissolved even after boiling 4 times (as indicated). The instructions say to constantly stir (it specifically says not to stir) as you press on the fabric, which will likely result in the fabric pressing against the undissolved dye for 30 minutes. Then rinse until the water runs clear (anything purple goes down the drain). Such a waste of time and money.

Pros
  • Use 1 pack to dye 454g cotton, linen, silk, spandex and rayon. Use 2 packs to dye 1 pound (454 grams) of nylon, acetate and wool. For dark or light colors (navy blue, black, royal blue, etc.), use double the amount of dye. Do not use on 100% acrylic or polyester.
Cons
  • High Price
